I am very grateful to be living in Tennessee at this time as they are leading the way in education across the nation. Essentially this is the right place for me to be as I narrow the focus of my business to assisting students with their academic and professional career paths.
Many times over the course of my lifetime I had wished that I would have had someone that understood my career goals and objectives. One that could objectively give me good counsel, sensible mentoring and work to persuade me to make sound choices for my future.
In a perfect world the career path you set upon after school would lead to success and fulfillment for the rest of your life. Unfortunately we do not live in a perfect world, we cannot predict the future, and the decisions we make while we are young have a far reaching impact upon our lives as well as our careers.
I have changed my career path four times throughout the course of my lifetime. Began post-secondary education in the seventies, earned a degree in the eighties, once again in 2005, and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership in 2013. Overcoming challenges and learning how to adapt and overcome has led me to where I am at today. A confident leader and entrepreneur that is focused upon serving the needs of the next generation of movers and shakers.
My message to young people is rather simple and straightforward and it is my desire to provide them with some wisdom and guidance as they move forward in their respective careers.
As a sample of what I have to offer is simply this: Hard work wins; you get out of life or education what you put into it; you cannot control the outcome, but you are 100% in control of the effort. Look your best, be your best, do your best, pay attention to detail and be honest with yourself and others.
